Testimony of Dr. Charlie Ritchie
I was raised in Coeburn, VA on top of Sandy Ridge. My grandparents were Pentecostal preachers. I was groomed for the ministry at an early age by the Deaconess' of Grace House Episcopal Church. Sundays, I would read the lesson after reading and preparing all week. I led the processional carrying the flag, the cross and lighting the candles. One day God touched my heart and told me this was not what I was to do. He had other plans for my life.
My daddy was killed in an accident when I was 17 years old. Before the funeral my Grandmother Ritchie prophesied of the girl I was to marry. God showed her as well thru a dream the morning my daddy had died.
God had called Wanda Marshall to preach at the age of 13. She had a near death experience where as she laid lifeless on her bed, God came to her and told her she had to come back to do His work. She had been preaching several years winning many souls to the kingdom when she came to McClellan Chapel (located on Sandy Ridge) where she was holding a revival. I was walking by the church with friends when we stopped to look into the window before going in. I told them that was the girl I was going to marry.
I went the last night of the revival and returned to the church after I had walked her to her aunt's where she was staying. It was then I prayed thru giving my life to Christ . One and a half years later we married and our ministry began. We preached tent revivals all over that mountain and many others, in the coal camps and small towns throughout KY, WV, VA, OH and many other places. We saw many souls saved and many miracles. God called her home after 30 years of marriage and ministry, but during her illness she never faltered. We still preached revivals all over the country, and God was still working miracles until he did so.
In 1999 God began a new phase of our ministry. I met and married Connie Jackson on December 26, 1999. Thru prophetic word God told me, thru three ministers, "Moses go get my children." I said where Lord and he told me to go to Middle Tennessee. He showed me a huge bowl with people of all denominations coming into it as one. I didn't know where Middle Tennessee was until Connie and I met. She was Middle Tennessee. We have been ministering and teaching the last day message of Revelations. When God gave me this message he told me to wait, it was not time. He has told me now is the time to preach the 2nd coming described in Revelations. We are living in the last day church that wants for nothing, They have all the silver and gold they need. Jesus is on the outside, knocking but no one answers the door.
Today He is opening new doors for our ministry via the Internet as the days of the tent meetings and huge revivals are past. We look forward to what God is going to do in this new and final day of the church. We look forward to, and expect the Rapture of His bride, the church.
If you have not accepted the Lord as your Savior, I ask you today to receive Him into your heart. Ask Him to forgive you of your sins. Acknowledge that He is the Son of God sent to earth to be a Sacrifice for mans sin. That he died on the cross was buried and rose from the dead on the 3rd day and ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father and that He is returning to claim His church. Romans 10:9-13 says "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, "Whosoever believeth in him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior while reading this testimony, there are a few thing you should do. Find yourself a Bible believing church and join yourself with other Christians as soon as possible and be baptized by immersion in water. In Mark 16:16 Jesus says "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned".
Please understand, baptism does not save you, it is a command that Jesus gives. The blood of the Lamb is what washes your sins away. Baptism is an outward sign to the world of an inward change. The thief on the cross was not baptized, but Jesus told him he would be with Him in paradise. See Luke 23:42-43 "And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise."
