What's In Heaven?

Many times especially as a child we wonder what's in heaven? We all know that is where God dwells and where the angels and Jesus are. We know it is a place that Jesus is preparing for all those who accept him as their Lord and Savior. We know it is a place where there will be no tears and many mansions. We know it will be a place of peace. Many times however especially as a child we wonder but what will it look like?

In heaven we will find the New Jerusalem. The walls are made of jasper, the streets of gold, the gates of pearl. The foundations of the city are made of 12 types of precious stones: jasper, sapphire, chalcedony, emeralds, sardonyx, sardius, beryl, topaz, chrysoprasus, jacinth, and amethyst. There is a pure river of water of life coming from the throne of God. There is the tree of life bearing 12 manner of fruits every month. There is no night there, the throne sits in the midst (Rev 21 and 22).

There is a rainbow around the throne and round about the throne are 24 seats and on these sat the 24 elders, clothed in white raiment with crowns of gold on their head, and there are 7 lamps burning before the the throne. These are the seven spirits of God and before the throne was a sea of glass like unto crystal and round bout the throne are 4 beasts whose whole purpose is to glorify God (Rev 4). In Ezekiel we find that the throne had the appearance of a sapphire stone (Ezek 1)

I do not believe there is any way that man can image the beauty that awaits us no matter how hard we try.
